They have a few large online trading companies that give them thier seal of trust, however it seems too good to be true. I really want to sell thier jewelry but they ask for a min payment of 500 for wholesale and they have paypal but its the Indian version supposedly ( called india direct or something?) Is anyone in business with this company?

Are you nuts? You will send your money to India and never see any thing.
Then what? Who you gonna call?
Don’t do it.
I have done business with companies in India, China, Russia and Europe. Through out the 7-8 years I have been dealing with exporting I have had some losses and gained some great partners. As a rule of thumb:
1) Never risk any amount that you can not afford to loose. Buying something through a company that you can’t even visit or meet with is risky business. Therefore on the first order always be careful.
2) Always do your homework ( I see you already have this covered with this question)
3) When you are unsure and would still like to go ahead try using an escrow service. Even though there are fees associated the piece of mind is priceless
4) Never do business with a company that can not provide you real references in your home country. This is one of the best measures that has saved me from loosing a lot of money. I make it a habit to ask for a minimum of 3 references that I can call and talk to. I ask them just the right questions and if they have an indian/asian accent I don’t trust a word they say because the could be the other parties relatives!!
5) Make sure the product and price is right, also check for customs and shipping. Sometimes it might be better just to go through a local dealer instead of directly exporting. Although it might be a bit more expensive it might be worth having that contact person in your own country.
So in short to answer your question no I don’t know this company but with an escrow I wouldn’t be worried to do business with them.
